Programs tell computers, step by step, how to do the amazing things they do, such as special effects for movies, apps for smart phones, searched through websites, and control of robots. Programs can stimulate and help evaluate models of our world. Students learn problem solving and critical thinking, crucial skills in college, careers, and life. Topics cover fundamental programming concepts including: variables and data types, conditional and iterative control structures, modularization with functions and parameters, and testing.
