This course provides an introduction to descriptive and inferential statistics. Topics include describing, summarizing and displaying data, using sample statistics to estimate population parameters, evaluating hypothesis using confidence levels with application to the physical and social sciences, logically drawing conclusions based on statistical procedures and the quantifying the possibility of error and bias.
